Privacy Policy

Last updated January 1, 2026

Warewiser, Inc. (“Warewiser”, “we”, “us”) takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our marketing website at warewiser.com, our product, and any related services (the “Services”).

1. Data we collect

We collect personal data in three ways:

  • Information you give us — name, email, phone, company, role and any content you submit through forms, demo requests, or support tickets.
  • Information from your organization — when your employer subscribes to the product, we process operational data they upload (items, vendors, transactions) on their behalf.
  • Information collected automatically — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and similar telemetry collected via first-party cookies and product analytics.

2. How we use data

  • To deliver, support, and improve the Services.
  • To respond to inquiries, deliver demos, and operate sales and customer success.
  • To send transactional emails and (where you opted in) marketing emails. You can unsubscribe anytime.
  • To detect fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies we rely on contract performance, our legitimate interest in running and improving the Services, your consent (for marketing communications and non-essential cookies), and legal obligations.

4. Sharing

We share data only as necessary:

  • Subprocessors — cloud infrastructure (AWS), product analytics, customer support tooling and email delivery. Each is bound by data processing agreements.
  • Business transfers — if Warewiser is involved in a merger or acquisition.
  • Compliance — when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.

We never sell personal data.

5. International transfers

We host EU data in EU regions by default. Where data must leave a region we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. Cookies

We use a small set of first-party cookies for session management, preferences (such as dark mode), and aggregated analytics. A cookie banner lets you opt out of non-essential cookies in regions where consent is required.

7. Your rights

Subject to your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any right, email privacy@warewiser.com.

8. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Operational data uploaded by customers is deleted on contract termination per the master agreement.

9. Security

Industry-standard security controls, encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), least-privilege access, continuous monitoring, and a published incident response process.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

11. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy with a new “last updated” date and, for material changes, notify customers by email at least 30 days in advance.
